Privacy policy

We are delighted that you are here! We appreciate your visit to our website and would like to assure you that we take the protection of your privacy very seriously. We process your data exclusively in accordance with the legal provisions (GDPR). It is very important to us to provide you with detailed information about what happens to your data when you visit our website.

Collection, processing and use of personal data

You can visit our website at any time without providing any personal information. We only store access data without personal references, such as the name of your internet service provider, the page from which you visit us or the name of a requested file. We use this data exclusively internally and only to improve our offer. It is never possible to draw any conclusions about your person.

If you contact us via the contact form on our website, we automatically store your IP address, the date and time of contact. This is a protective measure for you in the event that a third party misuses your data and registers with us without your knowledge. Of course, we do not pass on your data to third parties. Nor do we compare the data collected in this way with other data about you that may be requested by other components of our website.

We never request personal data online unless you voluntarily provide it to us when contacting us via an online form or by email. This data includes your name and the name of your company, your email address and your telephone number. Without your separate consent, we use this data exclusively for the fulfilment and processing of your enquiry, including any further questions. We collect, process and store your personal data exclusively in accordance with the provisions of European data protection law.

SSL encryption using https

The additional "s" in https:// before our website indicates that we ensure the protection of confidential data. We use the SSL certificate to encrypt data transfer on our website and to transmit all data securely over the Internet. An SSL-secured page can be recognised by the small lock symbol in front of the address (URL) displayed in the browser and by the use of https as part of the Internet address.

Server data

We collect the following data, known as server log files, for technical reasons, because your internet browser sends it to us or our web space provider:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Website from which you visit us (referrer URL)
  • Website you are visiting
  • Date and time of your access
  • Your Internet Protocol (= IP) address

Cookies

In order to make our website as user-friendly as possible, we use cookies on our website. These are small text files that your browser stores on your device. They are completely harmless and do not cause any damage. They remain stored until you delete them. This allows us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. If you do not want this, you can deactivate the setting of cookies. To do this, you must set your browser so that it informs you each time cookies are to be used. You can also allow the setting of text files only in individual cases. Some websites may only function to a limited extent if you deactivate cookies.

Google Analytics with anonymisation function

We use features of the web analytics service Google Analytics from Google LLC, located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”), on our website. We use this tool to analyze how you use our website. In particular, this is done using cookies, which generate information that is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there. The stored data includes, for example, the time, place, and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address. As already described in the previous point, you can prevent the installation of cookies at any time by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. This ensures that no information is passed on to Google. However, we would like to point out once again that by deactivating cookies, you will not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

We use Google Analytics with an IP anonymization function. This means that your IP address is truncated and anonymized by Google itself within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This means that only a rough localization is possible.

Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on our website activity for us, and to provide other services related to the use of our website and the internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. According to its own information, Google will never associate your IP address with other data from Google.

Google itself offers a deactivation option for cookies for the most common browsers. This gives you more control over what data Google can collect and process. If you activate this option, no information about your visit to our website will be passed on to Google Analytics. However, activation does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we may use. For more information about the deactivation option provided by Google and how to activate this option, please visit the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

We have concluded a corresponding contract with Google LLC for commissioned data processing. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG (Telecommunications Act) and Art. 6 (1) lit. a (consent) and/or lit. f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.

Improving our offering and our website are our concerns within the meaning of the GDPR (= legitimate interest). Protecting the privacy of our users is extremely important to us. Therefore, all user data is pseudonymized and stored for a period of 24 months.

Google Ads

We advertise our website using the Google advertising tool "Google Ads". In doing so, we also use the "Conversion Tracking" analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). If you have come to our homepage via a Google ad, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called "conversion cookies" are only valid for 30 days and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your personal identity. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our adverts placed on Google and have been redirected to our site.

The data that Google collects using conversion cookies is used to compile visitor statistics for our website. This is interesting for us because it tells us how many users clicked on our ad and which pages of our website were subsequently visited by each user. Neither we nor other advertisers using Google Ads receive information that can be used to personally identify users.

The installation of conversion cookies can be prevented by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. It is possible to deactivate the automatic setting of cookies in general or to block only cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com" in particular. Google's privacy policy on this subject can be found at the following link: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google") on our website. The use is without authentication. No cookies are sent either. Even if you have a Google account, none of your account data is transmitted to Google when you use Google Fonts. Only the use of CSS and the fonts used are recorded by Google and stored securely. You can find more information at: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq.

You can read about what data Google collects and what it is used for here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy.

YouTube with enhanced privacy mode

On our website, we use parts of videos from YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We use the "extended data protection mode" option provided by YouTube. When you visit a page on which a video has been embedded, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The content is displayed on the website by notifying your browser.

According to YouTube, in "extended data protection mode" only data is transmitted to the YouTube server, in particular which of our web pages you visited when you watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, this information is assigned to your member account. You can easily prevent this by logging out of your YouTube member account before visiting our website.

Further information on YouTube's data protection policy is available from Google at the following link: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

Instagram

We also use Instagram on our website. It is a service provided by Instagram Inc. When you click on the button on our homepage to visit the corresponding page of our website, Instagram receives this information. If you are logged in to Instagram, the service can assign your visit to our site to your Instagram account and link the data. The data transmitted by clicking on the “Insta” button is stored by Instagram. To prevent this, log out of your Instagram account before visiting our site.

The Instagram privacy policy provides further information on the purpose and scope of data collection, its processing and use, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy. These are available at the following link: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388

Facebook Pixel

We use Facebook Pixel from Facebook, a social media network owned by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, on our website. The built-in code evaluates the behavior of visitors who have come to this site from a Facebook advertisement. With this knowledge, Facebook advertisements can be continuously improved. However, this data is collected and stored by Facebook. The collected data is not visible to us, but can only be used in the context of advertising.
The Facebook pixel code also sets cookies. Facebook pixels notify Facebook of visits to the website so that visitors see relevant ads on Facebook. If you are logged into Facebook and visit our site at the same time, your visit will be associated with your Facebook user account.

Detailed information on how Facebook pixels are used for advertising campaigns can be found at https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel

If you are logged into Facebook, you can change your ad settings on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen.

You can manage your preferences for usage-based online advertising at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/. There you have the option to deactivate or activate several providers at once or to change the settings for individual providers. For more information about Facebook's data policy, please visit https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

Newsletter

Our newsletter provides regular updates on our work, our services, and anything else we consider relevant and interesting. You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website. All you need is a valid email address. We will check the address you have entered to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided or that you are authorized to receive the newsletter.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This is purely a protective measure in case a third party misuses your email address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. We use the data collected in this way exclusively for the purpose of sending our newsletter and do not pass it on to third parties under any circumstances. Nor will we compare it with other data that may be collected by other parts of our website. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Details can be found in the confirmation email and in each individual newsletter.

Use of reCAPTCHA

We use the “reCAPTCHA” service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”) to protect input forms on our website. The service allows us to distinguish whether an input is human or automated and therefore abusive.

To our knowledge, the referrer URL, IP address, website visitor behavior, information about the operating system, browser and length of stay, cookies, display instructions and scripts, user input behavior and mouse movements in the “reCAPTCHA” checkbox area are transmitted to “Google”.

Google uses the information obtained in this way to digitize books and other printed materials and to optimize services such as Google Street View and Google Maps, among other things.

The IP address transmitted as part of “reCAPTCHA” is not normally merged with other Google data. This only happens if you are logged into your Google account when using the “reCAPTCHA” plug-in. If you do not want Google to transmit and store your data and visitor behavior, you must log out of Google before visiting our site or using the reCAPTCHA plug-in. The information obtained through the use of the reCAPTCHA service is subject to Google's terms of use: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, transfer, revoke, and object to your data. If you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any way, please contact us first. We will do everything we can to remedy any possible violation. Of course, you can also complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.

Please contact us with any concerns you may have regarding data protection.
