More space for tranquillity, nature and special moments

The Hotel Nationalpark Illmitz is beginning a new chapter: we are expanding our hotel with 22 new retreats, spacious terraces, natural gardens and a harmoniously integrated pool area. While we are renovating, our focus remains the same: to provide you with a relaxing stay with all the usual amenities.

Ankommen im Hotel Nationalpark:

Für alle, die Natur suchen.
Und neue Perspektiven.

22 new retreats

Rooms with terraces or direct garden access for more space to breathe.

Natural gardens

Native plants and natural materials bring the Seewinkel region into the heart of the house.

New pool area

For refreshing moments surrounded by nature.

Sustainability as a corporate strategy

From green electricity to natural cosmetics, we live and breathe environmental protection in all our offerings.

This is how we are shaping the future of the building

With the extension, we are not simply creating more space. We are designing rooms for deeper relaxation and more intense experiences of nature.

  • Architecture in harmony with the region: natural materials, clean lines, warm colours.
  • Art & culture in the hotel: sculptures and design objects by regional artists such as Daniel Bucur and Sebastian Ebner on display all year round. An important contribution to promoting the local cultural scene.
  • Sustainability as a way of life: 100% green electricity, heat pumps, water-saving fittings, natural cosmetics in a refill system, e-mobility and a strong commitment to regional products.

We do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. However, on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., there may be construction-related noise or temporary restrictions (e.g. pool area unavailable from 15 September). In the evenings and on weekends, you can enjoy undisturbed peace and quiet.

As part of the project, the Hotel Nationalpark in Illmitz will be expanded to include a guest wing with around 22 additional rooms, complemented by natural gardens and a new pool area. The aim is to increase comfort for guests, expand the range of seminars and holiday stays on offer, and achieve the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. Expected results include an increase in regional value creation, the promotion of art and culture in the hotel, and the fulfilment of the criteria for the Austrian Ecolabel and klimaaktiv GOLD. This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
